Cuffs: A Local Gem (part 1)

There is a local clothing store that, besides Forbes, GQ, and acontinuous lean.com acclaim, is seemingly under the radar of style pages on the internet.  Cuffs is a high-end clothier that is tucked into the outskirts of Cleveland, OH.

Is Cleveland known as a style powerhouse?  I don't think so.  However, Cuffs is located in what may be one of the most charming towns in Northeast Ohio, Chagrin Falls.

Speaking as a local, you would never guess a place like this exist in this town.  There is a popcorn shop, coffee shop, grocery store, and bikers lining the street on break from their Ohio run.  All you have to do is take a walk pass Starbucks (if you can), pass the bank, and take a right down W. Orange street and....behold.  A beautiful brick structure filed with Kiton, Oxxford, Belvest, Robert Talbott, Edward Green, Crockett and Jones, John Lobb, Turnbull and Asser, and Southwick.  Oh yeah, there is also a great wine bar on the premises. If you're ever in Cleveland and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame doesn't do it for you, Cuffs will!

Dressing the Part?

When thinking about male dress, or female dress for that matter, there has always been an emphasis on dressing the part.  You wouldn't want an automechanic in a Anderson & Sheppard suit, would you?  The same goes for a President in an Hawaiian shirt.  Dress simply has a deeper dimension than just an outer adornment.  There are psychological and philosophical characteristics in dressing the part.  Would professor Kingsfield have had the same effect on Mr. Hart if he had on an open collared polo?  Maybe.
